User Context which displays the data relevant to that user
displays the results based On contextual information about a person.
Ex: if the user clicks the key word ERP based on the user logged in it will
displays the data such as sales related to sales group people or engineer
etc...
Deep Refiners with counts based on Meta data.
Refiners are placed in left side i.e. refiner results web part which displays
the count and refiner like author is a refiner suman (12), xyz(20) means the
results are filtered and refined like this way to easy find the search results.
Another ex: Filetype ppt(20), pdf(5) like this way...

FAST Search for SharePoint 2010 to help users more quickly judge what is relevant
in a search result list.
Ex: We can see the ppt slides of search results from results page itself.
Visual Best bets
Which means, FAST search renders the best bets in the form of video or image.
Other End User features Advanced sorting using managed properties or a query-
time sort Formula.
Advanced duplicate trimming, with the ability to specify a custom property on
which to base duplicate comparisons. “Similar documents” matching.
FAST Search Admin Object Model for promoting documents or assigning visual
Best bets to query keywords/phrases.
Note After Installing the FAST search server for SharePoint 2010 we
need to do the following things.
1. We need to create a new Search Service Applicationand select the FAST Search
Connector to index the content using Manage Service Application option in
CentralAdministration.
2. Need to choose the content source which we will need to crawl
3. Create Query Search Service Application for querying the Indexed content by
Selecting the FAST Query Search connector.
4. After that we need to do some configurations based on the deployment document.
FAST search OOB Connectors are Enterprise Crawler and JDBC Connector
